Newborn Info & Details
When is the best time to book?
It is best to book your newborn session early, preferably during your second trimester. I have limited openings and so booking your newborn session 8 weeks in advance will give you a better chance of booking the month you need for your newborn session. Newborn sessions take place in my Ottawa studio.
How old should my newborn be?
Newborn sessions can be done at anytime within the first 4 weeks of birth with the prime time being 7-14 days. The first week with your new baby will be exciting and you will be adjusting. But don’t let those tiny new moments pass you by. This time is critical for you to get those details documented. Your little one will change daily and only be that little, once. I ask that clients let me know within 3 days of babies birth to make sure we schedule the pre-booked newborn session.
Does the session fee include parents and siblings in the session?
Yes it sure does! Immediate family is always apart of the newborn session. This includes both parents and any siblings of the new arrival. At this time I don’t include extended family in newborn sessions.
Do I need to bring anything to the session?
You don’t need to bring a thing to your session except your newborn and your diaper bag full of new parent necessities! I will have everything we need for your newborn session.
Where do the sessions take place?
Session take place in my natural light studio. All the images you see in my portfolio and on social media were taken in my studio space. All materials, props and much of the wardrobe pieces are provided for in the studio.
Can you tell me more about your style of newborn photography?
You can see my work throughout my website and social media to give you a great idea on my style of newborn photography. The key ingredient is always light, followed by neutral color tones, organic textures and simplicity.
What is required of me at my newborn’s session?

How long will the session take?
Sessions typically take 2 hours. Much of the time will be spent making sure your baby is comfortable, fed, changed and sleepy :)
Can you come to my home to photography my newborn?
At this time I do not offer in home sessions. In my studio space I am able to control the light, setting and atmosphere you see throughout my portfolio.
When will we get to see our finished pictures?
Your beautiful images will be sent via online gallery within 2 weeks after your session. You will be able to download, save, print, share and cherish your gallery of images.
Do you retouch the photographs?
Yes all your images will be lightly edited. The quality you see throughout my portfolio and social media is what you should expect to receive from your session.
Am I able to purchase digital files?
Yes, I will also guide you on where to print your digital files as it is a crucial part of the end result of your professional images.
Can my pet be in the session?
